We are excited to feature Dr. Machli Joseph in our latest speaker series. With over 20 years of experience in higher education, Machli has made it his mission to engage communities, mentor students, and drive positive change through strategic leadership.

As a justice-impacted professional, Machli’s journey is a testament to the power of perseverance. He firmly believes that failure is one of life’s greatest enablers, teaching lessons of survival, renewal, and reinvention. Grounded in his faith, he sees how defeats and missteps can still bring about transformation and have a positive impact on humanity.

Machli (Moclee) has served in many vital roles in Higher Education for over 20 years. His passion and expertise are in Community engagement, student services, mentoring, coaching, recruiting, advocacy & outreach. As a justice-impacted professional, He believes the only way failure can get the final say in our lives is if we choose to let it. He believes that failure is one of life’s greatest enablers; It teaches you about survival, renewal, and reinvention of yourself. His faith is in a God who can take our defeats and missteps and still be used to bring glory to his name and a positive impact on the lives of all of humanity. His goal is to drive the organization’s mission through strategic leadership, fostering stakeholder alignment, and ensuring impactful resource allocation to key initiatives while unlocking barriers and expanding opportunities to all disadvantaged backgrounds and minorities through transformation and redemption.

Machli is well-appointed to use his knowledge and experience to enhance programs to improve efficacy and diversity. Dr. Machli Joseph is a former division I college basketball player and a head basketball coach on the NCAA level. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree at Saint Mary’s College of CA.; his M.Ed in Sports Management from East Stroudsburg University, PA.; and his Doctorate degree (Ed.D) in Education Leadership & Innovation at Saint Thomas University, FL.

Today, as a leader and advocate, Machli dedicates himself to opening opportunities for disadvantaged and minority communities. His background, from Division I college basketball player and coach to earning his Doctorate in Education Leadership – empowers him to lead with knowledge, passion, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
