Emilia Fazzalari is co-founder and Executive Chairman of a leading tequila brand, a co-creator of Extended Family, an NBC sitcom, and a dedicated philanthropist who advocates for justice, women and girls, climate change and better healthcare.
Emilia co-founded Cincoro Tequila in 2016 and serves as the Executive Chairperson of the company. Her co-founders are four NBA team owners: Jeanie Buss (LA Lakers), Wes Edens (Milwaukee Bucks), Wyc Grousbeck (Boston Celtics), and Michael Jordan(previously Charlotte Hornets). Under Emilia’s leadership, the Cincoro team created over 1,000 unique new tequila samples in Tequila, Mexico, which resulted in the five delicious, smooth Cincoro Tequila expressions: Blanco, Reposado, Anejo, Gold, and Extra Anejo. The tequilas were launched to the market in the fall of 2019 and have been honored with 24 medals in the world’s most prestigious spirits competitions. Cincoro is
distributed throughout the United States and Europe, Middle East and Asian markets.
Emilia is a proven executive with sales, marketing, and technology skills honed in some of the world’s most dynamic marketplaces. She spent 21 years at Bloomberg L.P. (1990-2011), often working directly with Michael Bloomberg conceiving and implementing challenging and ultimately successful projects. At Bloomberg she held several senior positions, including Head of Commodities Product Development, Head of Product Strategy and Head of the Global Trading and Portfolio Systems. She has experience building energy trading platforms and started and ran the Bloomberg Media Syndication Department. Following Bloomberg, Emilia spent 5 years (2011-2016) at Poten & Partners, a leading advisory firm in the energy and ocean transportation industry, as Head of the Commodity Consulting & Analytics Department and then head of Marketing. She began her career on Wall Street at Moody’s Investor Service on the fixed income side of the business.
Emilia has been honored by Forbes as one of the “50 over 50” most accomplished female executives and changemakers (2022). She serves as a Trustee of Giving|Grousbeck Fazzalari, a charitable foundation that supports several important initiatives in healthcare, education, and justice. She is a member of the Trust Board of Boston Children’s Hospital, the President’s Advisory Council at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and on the board of Reform Alliance.
Emilia is married to Wyc Grousbeck and has two children: Jack and Francesca, as well as two stepchildren, Kelsey, and Campbell. She and Wyc divide their time between Manhattan and Boston.
Emilia holds a BA from the University of Michigan with a concentration in Economics and Psychology.
