The REFORM Alliance, partnering with Lt. Governor Bethany Hall-Long, Senator Darius Brown, and Representative Melissa Minor-Brown, hosted a Delaware Day of Action on May 31, 2024, at the DoubleTree by Hilton. This event brought together community members, advocacy organizations, and elected officials in the state for a day focused on criminal justice reform.

Attendees also had the opportunity to network with fellow criminal justice advocates and policymakers across Delaware. The event aimed to collaboratively explore ways to improve the current system and ensure people returning from prison have the support they need to reintegrate into society successfully. The Day of Action specifically highlighted the importance of reentry programs. These programs provide vital resources and support systems to help formerly incarcerated individuals find employment, housing, and stability. By addressing these needs, reentry programs can play a significant role in reducing recidivism and promoting public safety.

Delaware Day of Action was valuable for discussing critical criminal justice issues and fostering collaboration toward a more just and effective system. Check out the video highlights from the event below.
