Emme Thompson is the General Counsel and an advisor on Special Projects for REFORM. She began as one of the very first employees at REFORM, serving as Chief of Staff to the founding CEO Van Jones. Before joining REFORM, Emme served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Lendlease Americas, a globally integrated real estate and investment group with core expertise in shaping cities and creating strong, connected communities. In that role, Emme developed a passion for being a trusted legal and business partner to extraordinary leaders, and especially for building organizations by building up people. Emme was instrumental in designing, implementing and leading a corporate compliance program that saw the business through several legal challenges and became a differentiator in winning work. Prior to her ten years at Lendlease, Emme was a commercial litigator. Before that, she was a civil rights litigator. She currently supports REFORM on legal matters and special projects.
